Workforce Development

The Workforce Development  Team are based around the County. We work with partners and colleagues in adult social care, children's social care and the private and voluntary sector to promote the recruitment, retention and development of the social care workforce in Cumbria.
 
Services we provide include :
 
  • workforce strategy and the annual learning & development plan
  • recruitment and retention initiatives across all care sectors
  • in service and multi agency programmes for adult social care staff from induction to continuous professional development
  • qualification programmes for social care staff   
 
Through partnership work we support :
 
  • Care Sector Alliance Cumbria
  • Furness Health and Social Care Learning Resource Service 
 
Details of in service & multi agency course programmes are circulated through the year to relevant staff groups. 
Details of opportunties for Private and Voluntary organistaions are circulated through the CSAC.
