Cumbria Occupational Therapy Self Assessment Tool

Cumbria's new Occupational Therapy Self Assessment Tool is now available.  You can use this if:

• you think you need straightforward equipment or minor adaptations to your home; and
• you would like to make your own arrangements rather than go through the council's Community Occupational Therapy Service.

The system is available on the internet and through some voluntary organisations too.  It enables you to assess your own needs for equipment and adaptations.  It makes recommendations on what you need and provide details of what you can buy and where you can buy this, including local retailers.  You should note that you would be responsible for the costs of whatever you decide to buy.

You can access the self assessment tool using the link below.  If you would like help with your self assessment, you could ask a relative or friend to help you.  Alternatively, Customer Services at your local Adult Social Care office may be able to suggest local voluntary organisations who can help you.
