Who is on the Partnership Board?

Cumbria’s Partnership Board has people from different departments and services. It brings together people who have a say over how we do things and can make things happen for services for people with learning disabilities - like council services, health trusts and service providers. It includes people with learning disabilities and family carers.

Our members are voted onto the Partnership Board and this is reviewed every year.

What does our Partnership Board do?

The Board brings together all these people and others that have a say in how services are delivered. This means that everyone can share information about what is happening in your local area. Everyone can agree what needs to be done and can check that the work they are doing fits in with what everyone else is doing.

The Board looks at:

  • What Valuing People Now wants us to do to improve services
  • How we are going to improve services
  • Who is going to do the work, such as one of the sub-groups
  • Make sure people with learning disabilities and their families are included to have a voice.
  • How much money is needed to make services better and can we afford it
