Conference evaluation
“Core Skills for Health and Social Care Support Staff” - Monday 4th October 2004
A successful conference was held to launch the CCATs at the North Lakes Hotel, Penrith. Attended by 106 delegates, bringing a variety of experiences and from different contexts.
Speakers included:
- Professor Idris Williams, Chairman, Morecambe Bay Hospitals Trust
- Nigel Woodcock, Chief Executive, North Cumbria PCTs
- Stephen Wilds, Interim Corporate Director of Cumbria Social Services
- Nick Smith, Commissioning Manager Cumbria Social Services (South)
Complemented by workshops facilitated by a variety of professionals.
It was received as a helpful and stimulating day at a high quality venue. A sample of views expressed suggested that the Ccats are perceived as being easy to use and to follow. As the steering group is aware, some form of follow-up is needed, perhaps in the form of local workshops.
