Recruitment and Retention

In 2006 when CSAC's Recruitment and Retention sub-group was set up, it decided to carryout research to provide base line information for its forthcoming work. This involved asking front line workers from a number of CSAC's members if they'd ever considered leaving care and if they had, what it was that they didn't like about their work that had made them think about doing something else. Of course, if they liked what they did and hadn't considered leaving we asked them to provide information about what kept them motivated.

Sandy Armstrong has joined the CSAC team on an 18 month contract as our Recruitment and Retention Project Officer. Sandy who is on secondment from the County Council already has a number of innovative ideas to boost recruitment in Cumbria.
