Self Directed Support Professionals Zone

This 'professionals zone' is for professionals such as Adult Social Care staff, service providers, health service colleagues and voluntary organisations.  It may also be of interest to service users and their carers who wish to know more about how we work.

It complements the Self Directed Support website and provides additional information about Cumbria's work to implement self directed support with personal budgets in Cumbria.

We implemented self directed support with personal budgets for older people, people with physical disabilities and people with learning disabilities in November 2009.  Working with colleagues in the NHS, we are now working on implementing self directed support for social care services in mental health which is planned to start in April 2011.
