Post Launch Evaluation
Skip main menu
Cumbria County Council carried out an evaluation of Cumbria’s first 3 months’ (16 November 2009 – 15 February 2010) implementation of self-directed support with personal budgets. The aim was to identify gaps and areas for improvement in the current system and processes.
The specific objectives were:
- To ensure that data and information are being recorded appropriately (e.g. within the Integrated Adults System) to support practice and performance monitoring.
- To obtain the views and experiences of staff implementing self-directed support with personal budgets, specifically in terms of operations, IAS, learning and development needs, etc.
- To obtain the views and experiences of service users and carers on Cumbria’s model of delivery of self-directed support with personal budgets, i.e. terms of the information they receive, the support planning process, etc.
- To establish that the Supported Assessment Questionnaire is fit for purpose and produces a linear relationship between points and need.
