Adult placement - How does adult placement work?

If you are interested in an adult placement, you should contact your local Adult Social Care office and ask for an assessment of need.  If your assessment says you would benefit from adult placement, your worker will contact Avalon, the adult placement provider and give them details of your needs.

Avalon will then identify adult placement carers who may suit your needs.  Great care is taken in matching you with the most appropriate adult placement carer, taking into account your specific needs. 

Adult placement carers go through a rigorous assessment and approval process in order to safeguard your interests.  Adult placement carers also undertake full training.
