In Cumbria there are residential homes run by:
the independent sector - including private businesses and voluntary organisations; and
Cumbria Care, who are part of Cumbria County Council.
All residential homes are registered and inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspection. Lists of registered residential homes are available from the Commission for Social Care Inspection or Customer Services at your local Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care office.
