How We Perform

Annual Performance Summary - Building Pride in Cumbria 2006-07

In March 2006, the Council published its Council Plan 2006-2009, entitled 'Building Pride in Cumbria'. Our Council Plan is structured around the following 6 themes:
  • Making Cumbria More Prosperous (Wealthier)
  • Improving the Health and Well-Being of Adults (Healthier)
  • Improving the Life Chances and Well-Being of Children and Young People (Happier)
  • Creating Safe and Secure Communities (Safer)
  • Creating and Protecting a high quality environment for all (Greener)
  • Improving Council Services (Better)
For each of our themes, we set out a number of aims and associated targets and tasks over the period 2006 to 2009.

The attached report provides details of how we performed in the 12 months from April 2006 to March 2007, for each of the Council themes above. In summary, the Council set  44 performance targets and 27 tasks to achieve for the year ended 31st March 2007. We have met or exceed 24 (55%) of our targets and successfully completed 27 (100%) of our  tasks.
