The team works with partners to develop and deliver land reclamation and infrastructure projects throughout the County.
As well as delivering the Land Reclamation Programme for Cumbria the team are acting client for the delivery of a substantial element of the West Lakes Renaissance programme in the Furness and West Cumbria.
Key projects include the Waterfront Business Parks in Barrow a £30m project to put in place the infrastructure for 50,000 sq m of B1, B2 and B8 development which will ultimately deliver 500 jobs.
Under the Land Reclamation Programme the team have commissioned £9.0m of work which will reclaim some 150ha of derelict, underused, neglected or contaminated land, construct 21 km of cycleway/footpath and plant 20ha of woodland and structural landscaping.
