11 MILLION is a national organisation led by the Children’s Commissioner for England, Professor Sir Al Aynsley-Green. It organises ‘Takeover Day' to prompt children and young people to be invited to take over activities and services delivered by a wide range of organisations. The campaign’s aim is to ensure that the views of children and young people are routinely asked for and listened to. The second 11 MILLION Takeover Day is fast approaching…. this year, it takes place on Friday 7 November 2008.
The Children’s Trust has made participating in 11 MILLION Takeover Day a priority, so we would like as many colleagues across the county to get involved and make takeover day even better than last year. Your activity doesn’t have to take place on 7 November but could be a piece of work you do in the run up to this date or even afterwards. So get your thinking caps on, discuss with your teams and make this the best 11 MILLION Takeover Day ever!
