Pounds Coins (smaller)

You may be entitled to a concession on your fee if you are:

  • aged 16 and under 19 on 1 September
  • over 60 years of age and work less than 16 hours per week  on a course that does not lead to a qualification
  • unemployed and receive Job Seekers Allowance 
  • receive a means tested benefit e.g. Income Support, Working Tax Credit (subject to threshold), Housing or Council Tax Benefit, Pension Credit - guaranteed credit
  • an unwaged dependant on someone claiming a benefit listed above.

Please check with the centre before you enrol.  If you are in receipt of an eligible benefit, you MUST provide evidence of this when enrolling.

Access and Childcare Fund

The access and childcare fund is available for learners:

  • without a full level 2 qualification (5 GCSEs Grade A-C)
  • in receipt of a means tested benefit
  • all learners on Skills for Life courses.

We have a limited budget to support:

  • Childcare provided by a registered child minder/nursery
  • exam fees.
