'Children feel like part on an extended family' (parent comment summer term 2011)
George Romney is a large community junior school in the town of Dalton-in-Furness, with 162 pupils on roll. The school had a successful Ofsted inspection in July 2010; being judged as 'good' with 'some outstanding features'. We are proud of our inclusive approach towards our children and their families.
We are looking to appoint a knowledgeable and motivated member of staff who would be confident to teach an aspect of the curriculum across KS2 as part of our PPA provision. The role will also require the skills and ability to work alongside staff and provide additional support for groups of children, depending on their needs.
Applicants are welcome to visit the school, please telephone to arrange an appointment on the visit dates. The school would welcome applications from either qualified HLTAs or those with QTS looking to develop their range of skills and experience. Application forms and further details are available from the school. Please return completed application forms to the Headteacher, Mr David Reddy.
As a school we are committed to the safeguarding of all our children. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure form in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.
