Sustainable ways to travel in Penrith

Penrith residents have met with councillors and officers to give their thoughts on how to make green transport more user friendly in and around the town. 

At the sustainable transport meeting which was organised by the county council’s Eden Area Support Team, residents told about improvements that could be made in the town to make cycling, walking and using public transport more attractive. 

Representatives from the environment agency were also on hand to discuss new flood defences for the town.

The information gathered through discussions with Penrith residents is being use to develop the area’s Sustainable Transport Plan.
