Cumbria Community Foundation has established the Cumbria ProHelp scheme to help community and voluntary groups gain access to professional volunteers. The volunteers help with a wide range of issues including:
- Business planning
- People management
- Press and public relations
- Marketing
- Financial management
- Information technology.
Cumbria ProHelp recruits professional volunteers from all areas of business, who offer their skills and experience to smaller voluntary and community groups across Cumbria. Matches are made between groups and volunteers by Cumbria ProHelp Coordinators, who monitor and evaluate the professional input, recruit and support volunteers and consider all requests for assistance from groups.
