Requests received by the Council
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 ('the Act') came info force on the 1 January 2005 and gives the right to request information held by public authorities. Anyone has the right to ask public authorities for any information they hold, including people living abroad, non-UK citizens, journalists, political parties, lobby groups and commercial organisations.
Very often, information requested is already available and can be found on the Council’s Publication Scheme or generally on the Council's website.
The disclosure logs give a summary of the information requested for each month since January 2010. If you wish to see any of the documents disclosed you will need to make a request in writing citing the relevant reference number (for contact details see Making a Request).
