District and Borough Councils

The administration and delivery of local government services in Cumbria is shared between Cumbria County Council and the six District/Borough Councils (Allerdale, Barrow, Carlisle, Copeland, Eden and South Lakeland).  Your local County Councillor can be contacted to give advice and assistance on such County Council Services as Education, Social Services, Transport, Strategic Planning and Economic Development, Consumer Protection, Refuse Disposal, Smallholdings and Libraries.  Find out who your local County Councillor is
