Cycling and walking in Cumbria Cumbria County Council is working to provide you with a transport network that will meet the needs of individuals and businesses in the 21st century. Last year Cumbria Trading Standards dealt with 9,876 complaints and enquiries and instigated 47 prosecutions Your Fire and Rescue Service has carried out 34,054 Home Safety checks and fitted 31,799 smoke detectors. We are working to support the enjoyment of our countryside whilst protecting and enhancing its natural, wildlife and historic qualities.
