Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada)

Description

Open meeting - everyone is welcome. The meeting is led by Sangha (Community of Theravada Buddhist Monks) Authorized Teachers. Theravada is the oldest school of Buddhism in the world, and it is practised today in Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. Meetings include tranquillity meditation, insight meditation, metta (loving kindness) meditation, and walking meditation, talks, study sheets, questions & answers. Tea biscuits afterwards. Free donations towards room hire welcome.
