Cumbria Library Service has cancer information 'outreach' services in nine of its libraries across Cumbria.

The Macmillan Cancer Information Project is being steered by the Cancer Information Centre based at North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust, Cumbria County Council's library service and the Macmillan cancer charity (external link).


The outreach service helps provide cancer information resources in all nine of the project libraries, with five of the nine libraries also holding drop-in sessions staffed by trained Macmillan information and support volunteers.

The following four libraries have cancer information resources and are able to signpost people to other cancer information points
