Library Elf (external link) is a free online service which

• notifies you by email or RSS feeds when items borrowed are due back - you can specify how many days in advance you would like to be told.
  
• lets you know immediately when your items are overdue.
  
• you can also be notified when reserved items are ready for collection.
  
• you can add other library cards (example your children's) to your account so that you can see when all the families items are due back.
  

When you go to the Library Elf website (external link) you just need to follow the "SIGN UP" link and complete the required details. In order to create your account you will need to specify your email address, your password, and your library membership number. (To request a password from Cumbria Libraries please follow this link)
