Every year Cumbria Libraries run the Summer Reading Challenge. This is a national scheme to encourage young people (usually 4 to 12 year olds) to read during the summer holidays. Embark on a fantastical adventure and become a Questseeker. The 2009 Summer Reading Challenge is all about the power of imagination.
The challenge is always very popular in Cumbria and we would like to give you the chance to share in this great scheme. It is fun and rewarding. We launch the challenge on Saturday 11 July and it ends on Saturday 12 September, (13 September for main libraries).
The challenge is to read 6 books from the library. Enrol and receive a fold out poster and questseekers membership card to record your progress.
Reading 2 books earns 1 set of red scratch and sniff stickers and a bookmark.
Reading 4 books earns 1 set of blue scratch and sniff stickers and a dragon model.
Read 6 books to complete the challenge and receive:
1 set of orange stickers
A Questseekers Bag
A certificate with your name added
