Grants Budget

The Forum Grants Budget for 2010/2011 is £5,909.42 which is jointly funded by Cumbria County Council and Copeland Borough Councils,  with a Youth Grants Budget of £734.66.  

Awards made at the January 2011 Forum were:-

£400.00 to Cumbria Rungwe Community Link as part of a multi application towards the cost of training and teambuilding, including 2 residential and a multicultural programme for Copeland young people to host a group of Tanzanians in 2011

£250.00 to Seascale Golf Club Junior Section as part of a multi application towards the cost of a PGA Professional Golf Coach for a programme to run in the summer, for local young people

£500.00 to Seascale Parish Council towards the purchase of a new hand rail around the public toilets

£400.00 to Whitehaven Egremont & District Credit Union as part of a multi application towards the cost to market new financial products and existing services including drop-in sessions at local community centres

£668.00 to Seascale Community Day Committee towards staging a Community Day Event in the village.

Awards made at the October 2010 Forum were:-

£500.00 to Ravenglass Village Forum towards the cost of making a wheelchair accessible focus point on the village green

£225.00 to South Copeland Disability Group as part of a multi application towards the cost of measuring equipment to carry out audit assessments

£600.00 to Bootle & District Swimming Club as part of a multi application towards the cost of a thermal blanket to cover the swimming pool

Awards made at the July 2010 Forum were:-

£300.00 to Life Education Caravan (Millom) as part of a multi application towards the cost of delivering the Life Education programme in schools

£250.00 to Bootle Bowling Club  as part of a multi application towards the cost of improving the condition of the bowling green

£300.00 to Santon Bridge Village Hall towards the cost for gravel to improve the surface of the car park

£350.00 to the Amenities Committee of Seascale Parish Council to purchase three recycled plastic seats to replace the worn out wooden ones

£400.00 to St Michael's & All Angels Parochial Church Council Bootle towards the cost for a hearing loop system for the local church

£500.00 to Whicham Parish Council towards new play equipment for Kirksanton village play area

Awards made at the May 2010 Forum were:-

£350.00 to Egremont Rugby Union Club  as part of a multi application towards the cost to build disabled toilets and disabled access and egress to and from the club

£300.00 to Millom Community Play Scheme  as part of a multi application towards running some of the play scheme activities including Horse Riding, Football and Swimming

£150.00 to Copeland Amateur Swimming Club  as part of a multi application towards the cost to replace the timing system, blocks, touch pads and scoreboard.

£200.00 to Silecroft Golf Club as part of a multi application towards the cost of a double driving bay and two driving mats as part of the coaching and taster sessions.
