Grants Budget

The forum has a grants budget for 2010/2011 of £7,053.32 which is jointly funded by Cumbria County Council and Copeland Borough Council with a Youth Grants Budget of £955.50.

Grants Awarded at the forum in February 2011 were:

£300.00 to Hensingham ARLFC as part of a multi application towards the purchase of Rugby and First Aid Equipment

£500.00 to Whitehaven, Egremont & District Credit Union as part of a multi application towards the cost to market new financial products and existing services including 5/6 drop in sessions at local community centres

£646.18 to Copeland Citizens Advice Bureau as part of a multi application towards the cost of equipment for advisers running outreach sessions and home visits in Copeland

£590.00 to Copeland Talking Newspaper as part of a multi application to purchase a computer or laptop.plus software and hardware for the group

£512.64 to Gd Fridays Youth Club towards the purchase of a TV and X-box Kinect for the Youth Club

£600.00 to Friends of St Benedict's as part of a multi application towards the purchase of a greenhouse for the Seeds for Success Community Project

£600.00 to Whitehaven Harbour Youth Project as part of a multi application towards the purchase of a DVD TV for the group and towards the cost of a ski trip

Grants Awarded at the forum in November 2010 were:

£500.00 to Whitehaven in Bloom as part of a multi application towards the Trinity Gardens Planting Day for 11 local schools who each design and plant a flower bed

£500.00 to Cumbria-Rungwe Community Link as part of a multi application towards the cost of training and teambuilding, including 2 residentials and a multi cultural programme for Copeland young people to host a group of Tanzanians in 2011.

Grants Awarded at the forum in September 2010 were:

£450.00 to Copeland Amateur Theatrical Society as part of a multi application towards the cost for a professional sound technician and equipment for the "Spend, Spend, Spend" musical performance in February 2011

£450.00 to Whitehaven Bowling Club as part of a multi application towards the cost of improvements to the club's facilities

£750.00 to Hensingham AFC towards the cost of a camera and Coaching and Referee training programmes

Grants Awarded at the forum in July 2010 were: 

£250.00 to Young Cumbria  as part of a multi application towards the cost for local young people to travel to Gambia, as part of the West Lakes Peer Education Project

£400.00 to Whitehaven & District Amateur Boxing Club as part of a multi application  towards the cost to purchase new equipment to meet health and safety standards

£460.00 to Cumbria Sports Academy  towards the cost to purchase Walking Poles for new Nordic Walking Activities

£500.00 to Rosehill Theatre  as part of a multi application towards the cost of running workshops for local young people as a result of the APPLES National Theatre Tour Project
