Grants Budget

This forum has a Grants Budget, for 2010/2011, of £5,217.31  which is jointly funded by Cumbria County Council and Copeland Borough Council with a Youth Grants Budget of £782.38.

Grants awarded at the last forum in February 2011 were:

£200.00 to Whitehaven, Egremont & District Credit Union as part of a multi application towards the cost to market new financial products and existing services including drop-in sessions at local community centres

£150.00 to Copeland Talking Newspaper as part of a multi application to purchase a computer or laptop, plus software and hardware for the group

£500.00 to Parton Village Hall Management Committee towards the cost to install a new central heating boiler for the hall

£798.85 to Distington ARLA towards the cost to deliver a "Young Peoples Participation and Engagement" Pilot Project

Grants awarded at the last forum in November 2010 were:

£700.00 to Lowca ARLFC - Youth Section as part of a multi application towards the cost of strips and safety equipment for three new youth teams

Application from Cumbria-Rungwe Community Link was deferred to the next forum

£150.00 to Friends of Lowca School towards the cost of cutlery to continue to offer meals to the community on a regular basis

£500.00 to Friends of Lowca School towards the cost of roofing materials for an onsite building to be used for outside activities

£480.00 to Pica Community Group  towards the cost of gardening equipment and materials to enter the Village in Bloom and to improve the Drying Green with the purchase of 4 washing poles

Grants awarded at the last forum in October 2010 were:

£500.00 to Parton Village Hall Management Committee towards the purchase of paint to decorate the village hall

£500.00 to Distington Club for Young People towards the purchase of materials to paint and freshen up the youth centre

Grants awarded at the last forum in June 2010 were:

£200.00 to Copeland Amateur Swimming Club  as part of a multi application towards the cost to replace the timing system, blocks, touch pads and scoreboard

£250.00 to Young Cumbria  as part of a multi application towards the cost for local young people to travel to Gambia, as part of the West Lakes Peer Education Project

£400.00 to Rosehill Theatre as part of a multi application towards the cost of running workshops for local young people as a result of the APPLES National Theatre Tour Project

£350.00 to Moresby Over 60's Club  towards the cost of a 10 pint teapot, bingo books and two outings

£400.00 to North Copeland Youth Partnership towards the cost of summer activities for the young people

£200.00 to Spectrum Art Group towards the cost to purchase specific art materials to develop the group's skills
