25/8/2005 - Alston & East Fellside neighbourhood forum

Residents in the Alston and East Fellside area will be able to air their views on a number of local issues at the next neighbourhood forum meeting for the area.

The meeting will be held on Thursday 1st September at Ousby Village Hall at 7.30pm. Agenda items include:

1. Opportunity for youngsters in the area to raise any issues they may have about their community

2. Rob Terwey, strategic planning manager for Cumbria County Council will be on hand to talk about BOATs (By-ways Open to All Traffic)

3. Residents will be informed about the council's programme for winter maintenance

4. Eden District Council would like resident's views on the future management of green spaces including village play areas

5. Local policing

County councillor Isa Henderson, chair of the neighbourhood forum said:

"This neighbourhood forum will give local residents an opportunity to raise any issue or concern they have about where they live. Neighbourhood forums are at the heart of communities addressing issues that are important to the residents of those communities. I hope that people take the time to come along to the meeting next Thursday."
