31/8/2005 - Resident's opportunity to air their views on changes in PCTs and NHS Trusts

Residents in Belah and Lowry Hill will have an opportunity to influence changes made within PCTs and the NHS Trust at the next neighbourhood forum meeting.

The meeting will be held on Monday 5th September at 7pm at Kingmoor Junior School Hall in Carlisle.

County councillor Alan Toole, chairman of the neighbourhood forum said:

"Patient and public involvement forums are keen to find out the views of local people and feed them back to the decision makers in the PCTs and NHS Trusts. These forums are in a position to influence change on behalf of the public. I would urge anyone with an interest in this topic to come along to the next forum meeting to find out more."

Other matters on the agenda include:

1. Police matters - PC Jason Priestley will give an update on police matters and answer any questions residents may have.

2. Environment services - A representative from Carlisle City Council will be on hand to answer any questions residents may have on environmental issues in the area.

3. Grants - Applications from voluntary and non-profit making community groups will be considered.

Anyone wanting further information about the neighbourhood forum or an application form for a forum grant should contact Sheila O'Donnell at the county council's neighbourhood support team on 01228 606317.
