In less than two months, Neighbourhood Forums across Eden have paid out more than £5,500 to community groups in the area.
At a Local Committee meeting today, members heard how 15 organisations providing community activities and projects throughout Eden benefited from the recent grants boost.
County councillor Gary Strong, chairman of the local committee said:
"I am pleased to support community groups and projects in Eden. The grants provided by Neighbourhood Forums give people the chance to participate in community activities of all kinds.
