14/2/2007 - Hillcrest and Hensingham Neighbourhood Forum

Hensingham's Copeland Athletics Stadium is the venue for the next Hillcrest and Hensingham Neighbourhood Forum on Thursday 22 February, at 6:30pm.

The meeting gets under way with the chance to hear about facilties available at the Copeland Stadium.

There will then be a talk by Chris Coombes from the West Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service and Jane Hafren of Cumbria Learning Links on services and training available to local communities.

Dave Keevil from Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service, will be there consult on plans to build a new fire station in Whitehaven, which will allow faster response times in areas of the town that risk-mapping shows need a higher level of fire cover, and include new community facilities. 

Feedback on issues raised at previous Forums will be given, plus an opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying to the forum for a grant, to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.
