Distington Community Centre will host the next meeting of the North West Copeland Neighbourhood Forum on Wednesday 28 February, at 7:00pm.
The meeting gets underway with a talk by West Cumbria Learning Links' Jane Hafren who will be explaining about some of the training opportunities available for local volunteers and community organisations.
There will allso be a talk by Wendy Hirst from the West Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service about the work of the organisation.
Then there will be a chance to discuss Waste and Mineral Extraction sites with representatives from Cumbria County Council's planning department.
There will also be an opportunity to hear about community activity in the area including: Distington Community Centre; Distington in Bloom Group; Distington Victorian Walled Garden; and Parton Football Club.
Feedback on issues raised at previous Forums will be given and opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying to the forum for a grant, to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.
