Cumbria County Council's Derwent Valley Neighbourhood Forum held at Seaton on the13th February has grant aided seven local community groups at total of £5,037.
Details of the grants are:
- Great Clifton Methodist Chapel Friday Club has received £500 for children's toys and equipment.
- Seaton Methodist Ladies Choir has received £999 for a new portable piano.
- Seaton Athletics Club has received £891 to help with the cost of travel to track and field competitions.
- Little Clifton Village Hall has received £891 for a new indoor bowling facility.
- Seaton Rugby Youth Group has received £756 to help start a new youth club for over-14s in Seaton.
- Seaton Community Safety Group has received £600 towards the purchase of a speed indication device, which monitors and displays the speed of approaching vehicles.
- Great Clifton Rugby League Club has received £400 for new team strips.
