11/1/2007 - Brantsy and Harbour Neighbourhood Forum

Whitehaven's St Gregory's and St Patrick's Catholic Infant School hosts this year's first meeting of the Brantsy and Harbour Neighbourhood Forum which is being held on Tuesday 23 January 2007, at 7:00pm.

The meeting gets under way with the chance to question Paul Hancock and Dave Keevil from Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service about plans to build a new fire station in Whitehaven which will include new community facilities and allow faster response times in areas of the town that risk-mapping shows need a higher level of fire cover.

There will then be a talk by Chris Coombes and Jane Hafren from the West Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service on services and training available to local people.

Feedback on issues raised at previous Forums will be given, plus an opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying to the forum for a grant, to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.

Everyone is welcome. Please call Neighbourhood Development Officer Marilyn Pritchard on 01946-855023 if you require additional information.
