Cumbria County Council's care staff will be celebrating their achievements over the coming weeks as 247 carers and Social Workers receive NVQ awards and other qualifications.
Staff at Cumbria Care, and Cumbria County Council's Adult Social Care and Children's Services directorates have earned NVQs in Care, and Business Administration alongside Social Work degrees, Diplomas in Social Work, and Approved Social Work Awards.
In most cases the presentations are the culmination of 12 - 18 months of training, study and vocational practice. The carers and Social Workers will receive their awards at two ceremonies being held in January and February.
These latest awards and qualifications are part of Cumbria County Council and Cumbria Care's ongoing commitment to training and development.
There will be two ceremonies in January and February, taking place as follows:
- 30 January, Round Thorn Hotel, Penrith, 1pm - 4pm
- 2 February, Stonecross Manor Hotel, Kendal 1pm - 4pm
