The Penrith winner of a competition organised Cumbria County Council to celebrate this year’s Local History Month will be presented with her prize next Monday (7 July).
Photographers are invited to Penrith library at 3:30pm to see Elizabeth Butterworth presented with a hamper worth £100, supplied by Brougham Hall Foods.
The competition was held in libraries across Eden in May. Entrants had to answer fifty questions about the county’s history.
The history quiz ran in conjunction with a word-search competition for junior library goers. The Penrith winners will receive their prizes at the same event.
