Lowca village Hall is the venue for the next North West Copeland Neighbourhood Forum on Wednesday 16 July, at 7:00pm.
The meeting gets underway with a presentation from Copeland Borough Council’s deputy leader, councillor Alan Holliday, on the Government’s White Paper, Managing Radioactive Waste Safely.
Cumbria County Council’s public transport officer Caroline Watson will then talk about Rural Wheels, a community scheme that provides door-to-door transport at a reasonable cost.
The Forum will also be an opportunity for people to exchange local information and get an update on the proposed closure of public call boxes. Feedback from previous meetings will be given along with the opportunity to hear about recent applications for Community Grants.
Free refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome. Please contact Marilyn Pritchard at the county council’s Neighbourhood Forum team for more information on 01946-505023.
