21/7/2008 - Family History explored at Kendal Neighbourhood Forum

Curious to know more about your family history? Your house? Your town? Want to know more about the records held in the local Records Office and the work of the County Archive Service. Peter Eyre from Cumbria County Council' s archive team will talk about the work the Archive Service does in Kendal and answer questions at the next Kendal Neighbourhood Forum.

Also on the agenda, the new town clerk, Liz Richardson, will provide an update on Kendal Town Council matters. Jenny Draper from South Lakeland District Council will explain the Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnerships’ priorities, its work across the district and upcoming work being done in Kendal. Joanne Golton will talk about economic regeneration for Kendal and work being done to boost and support the local economy.

There will also be the opportunity to share local news, publicise events and raise any concerns as well as listen to representatives from local groups applying to the forum for a grant.

The forum will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, 30th July, at Kendal Town Hall and everyone is welcome.
