Santon Bridge Village Hall is the venue for the next Bootle and Seascale Neighbourhood Forum meeting on Thursday 10 July.
Before the meeting starts Copeland Borough Council’s leader, councillor Elaine Woodburn, will be on hand from 6:30pm to answer questions from the public.
At 7:00pm, the Forum gets underway with a presentation from councillor Woodburn on the Government’s White Paper, Managing Radioactive Waste Safely.
Rosie Mathisen, Nuclear Opportunities Director for West Lakes Renaissance, will then talk about the Energy Coast programme and other nuclear opportunities.
There will be a chance to hear the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s Brian Hough explain about the work of the organisation in West Cumbria.
The Forum will also be an opportunity for people to exchange local information get an update on the proposed closure of public call boxes. Feedback from previous meetings will be given along with the opportunity to hear about recent applications for Community Grants.
