Cumbria County Council is teaming up with Word Market to offer budding authors a series of specially themed writing workshops.
Starting this Saturday (7 June), budding writers will be able to get some inspiration, feedback and support at a series of venues across the south of the county.
The sessions, which run until 15 November, are the latest in a series of activities arranged by the county council to mark the National Year of Reading - a national campaign designed to inspire everyone to read more.
Four events will be held in total. They are:
