5/6/2008 - Bowness, Thursby & Caldbeck Neighbourhood Forum

Travel tops the agenda of the next Bowness, Thursby & Caldbeck Neighbourhood Forum on Tuesday 17 June, at 7:00pm.

The meeting at Sebergham Village Hall gets underway with the chance for people to set their priorities in the community travel plan for Caldbeck, Sebergham and Westward.

The plans look at local travel needs for people living and working in communities for now and in the future.

At an earlier meeting residents mapped out the issues and concerns they had and the next stage is to list these in order of importance for actioning in the next financial year.

There will then be an opportunity to learn more about the consultation arrangements for the Development of North Allerdale Action Plan 2008-2013.

Cumbria County Council’s head of property, Sean Reed, will be on hand to discuss the forthcoming sale of the Crofton Trust estate and associated properties at Crofton.

In addition to these items, there will be feedback on issues raised at previous Forums and an opportunity to listen to representatives from local groups applying to the forum for a grant, to share or publicise any local information and raise any other issues.

Free Fairtrade refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome. Please call Pat Ackred on 01900-325013 if you require additional information.
