30/11/2009 - West Lakes Academy

Following further investigations and a site visit involving structural engineers, the five storey block at West Lakes Academy will remain closed pending further ground investigations this week. 

 

However the rest of the site will reopen on Wednesday 2nd December.

 

Years 9,  10 &  11 should report to the Academy then as normal. 

 

Students in Years 12 & 13 should report to the Bassenthwaite Pavillion on the West Lakes Science and Technology Park tomorrow (Tues 1st December at 0835 and for the rest of the week.)

 

The Academy is hopeful that following the further ground investigations some floors of the five storey building will be able to open enabling students in Years 7 &  8 to return next week. 

 

All staff should report for work as normal tomorrow (Tues 1st December.)
