The finishing line for the Space Hop reading challenge is fast approaching with children scrambling to complete their summer reading.
The Space Hop Challenge finishes on Sunday 12 September at Cumbria County Council's larger libraries and Saturday 11 September at smaller libraries following its launch on 10 July.
Youngsters still have time to finish the challenge and be entered into prize draws around the county to win some great prizes.
Everyone finishing the challenge will get a free glow-in-the-dark wristband, a certificate and some will receive medals.
As the UK's biggest reading event for children it encourages young people to read up to six books during the summer. Last year more than six thousand children took part in Cumbria and 57 per cent completed the challenge.
Children can also visit the Space Hop website where they can play games, meet authors, write about books they've enjoyed and much more: www.spacehop.org.uk![]()
