28/1/2010 - Young designers sought for new library card

Cumbria County Council's library service has launched a new competition for 11-18 year olds to design a new library card aimed at teenage borrowers.

The winning designer will receive £250 worth of Argos vouchers as well seeing their winning creation being turned into thousands of credit card-sized library cards for use throughout the county.

Any member of the county's library service aged 11 to 18 can take part. Anyone not already a member can join completely free online at www.cumbria.gov.uk/libraries or at their nearest library.

Entry forms are available at all local libraries or can be downloaded from http://www.cumbria.gov.uk/libraries/childrensservices/teenage_card.asp. The design must be your own original work and the closing date is February 28th.
