Development Control - deals with the processing of planning applications, taking account of planning policy, government guidance and the individual merits of each scheme, in order to control development in the public interest. The Development Control team are based in County Offices, Kendal and they deal with minerals and waste management and County Council developments for the whole of Cumbria outside of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
