Notifying Applicants of the Decision

Case Officers will endeavour to keep in contact with the Applicant/Agent of a planning application to inform them of progress with dealing with the application; advise of any problems that arise; and advise of a likely determination date when this is known.

Where an application is to be recommended for approval subject to complex planning conditions the applicant/agent will be provided with a copy of the proposed conditions. This enables them to comment and to resolve any misunderstandings which might give rise to difficulties in implementing the permission if granted or result in a further planning application to amend conditions which might be inappropriate.

As soon as a decision has been made on an application and the contents of the decision notice agreed, we issue the formal "Decision Notice" to the Applicant/Agent. Once this has been issued a copy of the decision notice can be accessed and downloaded online via the link below.
