Cumbria is one of the most beautiful rural counties in England.   From the coast to the valleys, the fells and the woodlands Cumbria has countryside with a diversity of landscapes and a high level of natural beauty.   We are working to support the enjoyment of our countryside whilst protecting and enhancing its natural, wildlife and historic qualities.

We recognise that we can’t achieve our aims alone.   We are working with the local community, landowners, environmental organisations, local authorities and developers to ensure that all who live, work and play here can continue to enjoy the countryside and its natural, wildlife and historic qualities.
