Historic Environment - The Historic Environment Service provides advice relating to archaeology, historic buildings and historic landscape throughout the county outside of the National Parks. Its website includes information on dealing with historic environment issues through the planning process, using the county's publicly available Historic Environment Record and ways in which information can be obtained concerning archaeology, historic landscapes and buildings in Cumbria.
