Re-Submitted Site Allocations Policies & Proposals Map (February 2012)

Skip main menu

The Minerals and Waste Development Framework’s Site Allocations Policies and Proposals Map identify the sites and areas of land that will be needed in Cumbria (outside the two National Parks) for working and safeguarding minerals and for managing waste over the period to 2020.

The County Council has taken into consideration the responses received from a repeated Regulation 27 consultation on this document in Autumn 2011 and has now re-submitted the document to the Planning Inspectorate to be examined for soundness on behalf of the Secretary of State. The Inspector's report on the examination and his recommendations will be binding on the County Council.

The submitted Site Allocations Policies, the associated maps and supporting documents can be viewed or downloaded below, along with copies of the Proposals Map. The Proposals Map is arranged in four parts and includes the proposed Minerals Consultation Areas and shows all proposed sites. It is accompanied by eight magnified insert maps showing the proposed sites in their broader local context.

Paper or CD copies of the documents can be obtained by contacting the Minerals and Waste Policy Team. Contact details can be found at the bottom of this web page.
