Submitted Site Allocations Policies and Proposals Map (Regulation 30)
The County Council has now reached the final stages of preparing the above Framework. On 30 April 2010 the Council submitted the Site Allocations Policies development plan document and the Proposals Map to the Secretary of State, Communities and Local Government for consideration. The documents will now be independently examined by the Planning Inspectorate, on behalf of the Secretary of State. This process will involve Hearing in Public sessions in the summer 2010.
The policies and maps identify the sites and areas of land that the County Council considers are needed for the working and safeguarding of minerals and for managing wastes over the period to 2020. The policies will apply to those areas of the county that are outside the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
