Around 8 million disposable nappies are thrown away in Britain every day. Real nappies are different. They are made from cloth and can be used over and over again. They are kind to the environment and great for your pocket too - a saving of about £500 on using disposables.

Through the Resource Cumbria waste partnership, Cumbria County Council are proud to bring you the Cumbria Real Nappy Campaign. The campaign is an incentive scheme which aims to encourage more Cumbrian residents to use real nappies on their babies by contributing to the cost of purchasing the nappies.

If your baby is under 18 months old and you are a Cumbrian resident, then you will be eligible to apply for a real nappy voucher. If you sign up to the campaign we'll give you a voucher to the value of £30 per child with a minimum spend of £45 when redeemed or a £45 voucher for twins with a minimum spend of £67.50 when redeemed. These vouchers can be redeemed at most real nappy retailers.
